First-day checklist: test your customer journey

Verify the complete customer and staff flow before your first live service.

Run this checklist on the device and network your team will use.

1. Check the customer entry point

On the Location overview, open the Check-in menu, select Open check-in page, and scan the printed QR code. If you use a shared tablet, also select Open kiosk mode. Confirm the business name, selected lists, accent colour, language, form fields, hours, and privacy information are correct in each mode.

2. Submit a real test

Join with a phone number or email you can access. When available, also test push on a supported device. Confirm the entry appears immediately in the correct list and that party details are accurate. Submit a second kiosk entry and confirm the device returns to the start without exposing the previous customer's details.

3. Complete the staff workflow

Call the test customer, confirm the selected notification is recorded as sent, then mark the visit with its final status. If two staff members can operate the queue, confirm they understand that the first call wins and a duplicate press does not send a second notification. If you use tables, assign one and confirm it becomes available again when service ends.

4. Test exceptions

Check the closed-list message, a full or invalid form, a cancelled entry, and a no-show. For bookings, also test rescheduling and a blocked day.

5. Prepare the team

Invite staff, confirm their access, place the QR code, secure the kiosk device, verify each list's working hours, and check the SMS/WhatsApp credit balance (email notifications don't use credits). Archive test entries when appropriate; their history remains available in Customers and analytics.
