Guest lists contribute to the location's current occupancy after a party is marked Showed. WaitQ counts people using the entry's party size, so one party of four contributes four people.
1. Check the party size
Open the guest entry and confirm that Party size includes the named guest and everyone accompanying them. A missing historical value is treated as one person. Correct the value when the recorded party changes.
2. Check the occupancy duration
When services are selected, WaitQ uses their combined duration. Otherwise it uses the guest list's Default visit duration, which defaults to 60 minutes and can be set from 5 to 720 minutes.
Occupancy begins when the guest is marked Showed. When the calculated period ends, the party stops contributing to current occupancy; their Showed status and daily guest-list totals remain unchanged.
3. Read the location overview
Open the location overview and inspect Occupancy. The total combines the eligible operational records for that location, including active guest-list parties. When the location uses Floor plans, the details can also separate tables with seated customers, reservations, manual occupancy, blockers, and currently available tables.
4. Correct unexpected occupancy
If the number is unexpected, check the guest's showed time, party size, selected services, and the guest list's default visit duration. Also review active queues, reservations, and manual table occupancy because they can contribute to the same location total.
