Frequently asked questions

Which plans include integrations?

Integrations are included in the Business plan and with an Access Pass. On Starter and Grow you can see them under Integrations in the dashboard, and upgrade when you want to set one up.

Which apps can I connect to WaitQ?

Zapier, Calendar, the API and Odoo POS are built into WaitQ. Through Zapier you can also connect thousands of other apps, such as Google Sheets, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Shopify and Slack.

Do I need a Zapier account?

Yes. Zapier is a separate service with its own plans, including a free one. You connect your WaitQ account in Zapier with an API key that you create under Integrations.

Can I see my WaitQ bookings in Google Calendar?

Yes. Turn on a calendar link for a location and subscribe to it from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. New bookings, changes and cancellations appear on their own. You can also connect your own calendar so WaitQ stops new bookings while you're busy.

Do customers get messages for guests or bookings added through an integration?

No. Guests, bookings and orders created through Zapier or the API don't receive WaitQ's automatic join or confirmation messages.

How do I keep my data safe?

Only business admins can create API keys, and each key is shown once. Create a separate key for each integration, keep it out of public code, and revoke it in Integrations if you stop using it. Revoking a key stops every Zap and webhook that uses it straight away.

Can I build my own integration?

Yes. The WaitQ API lets your website or software read your locations and lists, add guests, create bookings and orders, look up customers and subscribe to webhooks. The API documentation covers every endpoint.
