How to add custom fields to a queue

Collect the extra customer details your team needs without making check-in cumbersome.

1. Open Form fields

Open the queue, choose Edit queue, and select Form fields.

Standard fields have their own options. Enable Name to collect a customer name in a single field. Enable Party size, when available, to set Minimum and Maximum below its row. These settings do not require creating custom fields.

Queue form fields with a single Name setting, party-size limits, and custom fields.

2. Add the field

Select Add field, choose the input type, and give it a short customer-facing label. Choose Public for fields customers fill in, or Internal for fields only staff see. Mark it required only when the team cannot serve the customer without that answer.

3. Arrange and save

Use the move up and down controls to place the most important fields first, then save the list. Custom fields are included on the Grow and Business plans.

4. Test the public form

Open Public check-in and submit a test response. Internal fields do not appear on the public form. Confirm that staff can see the answer on the entry and that it is included in supported CSV exports.

Review unused fields regularly. Shorter forms make self check-in faster and reduce incomplete or inaccurate answers.
