How to configure service duration and arrival windows

Define how long service normally takes and when a called customer should arrive.

Service duration helps WaitQ represent how long a visit occupies your operational capacity. The arrival window tells a called customer how quickly they should return.

1. Open the list settings

Open the queue and select Edit list. Find the service and arrival timing controls in the list details.

2. Enter realistic values

Use recent operations as your baseline. If different services take different amounts of time, create and configure those services instead of using one misleading average.

3. Save and test

Save the list, add a test entry, and call it. Review the customer message and the timing shown to staff.

Revisit these values after busy and quiet periods. A value that is too short creates pressure for customers and staff; one that is too long reduces the usefulness of the queue estimate.
